Cricket fans in South Africa will now have a more rewarding experience for supporting the game following an exciting initiative launched by Cricket South Africa (CSA) and Proteas T20 Sponsors, Blue Label Telecoms.

Cricket’s first ever comprehensive supporters’ program has hit the markets and will see cricket fans benefitting more than ever before. Fans will be able to share the passion of the game in and out of stadia

Powered by Blue Label Telecoms, fans have two options in signing up for the “Love Cricket” program – there is a free tier offering and a paid tier offering. Both these offering comes with various benefits including discounts on merchandise, tickets, access to unique player content, a monthly newsletter as well as an electronic tour brochure mailed to members before every series.

There are two ways of signing up for the “Love Cricket” membership – fans can either register at the stadia where the Proteas will be playing their upcoming international matches or fans can visit www.cricket.co.za and register directly through the CSA website.

In addition to this, there will also be promotions at selected malls around the country where fans can sign up on the spot.

“We really have passionate supporters in South Africa and we have never rewarded them fully for this,” said CSA Acting CEO, Jacques Faul.

“This program is our way of thanking fans for their wonderful support over the years and backing the Proteas in their quest to become number one in all three formats of the game.”

“From a Blue Label Telecoms perspective, we are proud to be associated with this ground-breaking customer engagement program, “explained Blue Label Telecoms MD, Andrew Weinberg.

“We have run similar programs quite successfully and look forward to doing the same in our partnership with Cricket South Africa.”

Cricket has never had a customer engagement program in South Africa.

The offerings will also continue to grow and more benefits added as the program gains momentum.

Fans can also register via SMS to join the Love Cricket program. Simply text “lovecricket” to 45732 and more information will be sent to fans.
