The Sunfoil Series match between the Chevrolet Knights and the bizhub Highveld Lions at the Diamond Oval has ended in a draw.  Umpires Dennis Smith and Anil Chaudhary, a visitor from India, led the players off the field due to rain shortly before lunch was due to be taken, and they were not to return as the rain persisted.

Shadley van Schalkwyk struck two blows in the morning session to remove openers Dominic Hendricks for 30 and Stephen Cook for 43.

The bizhub Highveld Lions were left needing a further 279 for victory, and the draw leaves them trailing the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras by 9.66 points with just one match remaining. The Chevrolet Knights had a mathematical chance of winning the Series when the match started, but they are now out of the running, some 25 points behind the Nashua Mobile Cape Cobras, and have in fact slipped to fifth place after the Sunfoil Dolphins beat the Chevrolet Warriors yesterday.

Rilee Rossuw was named Man of the Match following his innings of 80 on Thursday.

Final Points: Knights 8.96, Lions 6.38
