CSA appoints lead director

THE newly elected Board of Directors of Cricket South Africa (CSA) held its first meeting in Johannesburg on Saturday since the Annual General Meeting and took the following decisions: 

Mr. Norman Arendse SC was elected to the position of Lead Independent Director. 

Mr. Iqbal Khan was appointed chairperson of the Financial and Commercial Committee (Finco) and Mrs. Dawn Mokhoba as chairperson of the Remunerations Committee (Remco). The other members of Finco will be Mr. Louis von Zeuner and Dr. Peter Cyster. The other members of Remco will be Mr. Vusi Pikoli and Mr. Fa-eez Jaffar. 

Mr. Graeme Sauls has been included in the Audit and Risk Committee. 

The Board will take note of the current process regarding the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A recruitment agency will be appointed to work with a sub-committee of the Board to come up with a short list of three candidates who will make presentations to a full meeting of the Board who will then make the appointment.
