St Andrews Boys High beat Northern Cape High by the skin of their teeth in the Central Franchise final to qualify for the Coca-Cola Schools T20 finals weekend taking place in Stellenbosch from 22-24 February.

They were bowled out for 115 runs thanks to Aiden Brooker and Migiel Brits who returned outstanding bowling figures of 3/10 and 3/13 respectively. Ryan du Plessis was the only notable batsman, scoring 31 before his innings came to an end.

With a relatively low total to defend, St Andrews went about their bowling with the same ruthlessness as their opponents. Marno van Greunen and Michael Stannard took three wickets each to stem the run flow of the Griquas region's school, while Sean Whitehead chipped in with two vital wickets to put an end to Northern Cape's dream to finally claim the title. St Andrews won by five runs and will represent the Chevrolet Knights at the finals weekend.

In the KwaZulu-Natal final, Westville Boys High beat Hilton College by six wickets to claim the right to the  Sunfoil Dolphins kit. Hilton were 123/5 at the end of their allotted overs with Michael Dedekind and Jarryd Edy scoring 32* and 28* respectively.

In reply, Westville's Alexander Whitelaw and Luke Schlemmer scored an unbeaten 40 and 39 runs respectively to give their side a well deserved victory.

The teams play for the opportunity to win R110 000 to spend towards the development of the game in their schools.
