CRICKET SOUTH AFRICA (CSA) advises that the opening match in the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge between the Sunfoil Dolphins and the Nashua Titans at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead on Friday, 15 February 2013 will have a delayed start to avoid an overlap with the second Sunfoil Test match between the Castle Lager Proteas and Pakistan at Sahara Park Newlands.

The RAM SLAM opener will now start at 18h15.

“There is tremendous interest among cricket fans both in the Sunfoil Test match and in the start of the RAM SLAM,” commented CSA Acting CEO Jacques Faul. “The Test match has a scheduled close of play at 17h30 but the ICC Test match regulations allow an extra 30 minutes to make up any of the allotted overs that have not been bowled in the prescribed time.

“Cricket fans will now be able to watch the day’s Test cricket right up to the delivery of the final ball without missing any of the action that will start from ball one of the RAM SLAM.”
