Rain delayed the start of the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge match between the Sunfoil Dolphins and the Nashua Titans at Sahara Stadium Kingsmead in Durban on Friday.
Persistent rain began falling over the ground two hours before the scheduled start leaving umpires Brian Jerling and Karl Hurter no option but to delay the start of the opening fixture in this season’s RAM SLAM T20 Challenge.
Each team needs to face at least five overs to constitute a match but, with more rain predicted during the evening, it looked unlikely that the teams would get onto the field by the 21.02 (SA Time) cut-off point.
