Kyle Abbott will make his ODI debut for South Africa, in the first Momentum ODI against Pakistan at Chevrolet Park in Bloemfontein on Sunday. Abbott completes a clean sweep of caps for South Africa, after making his Test and T20I debuts in the last three weeks. His cap number is 109.

Abbott replaces Morne Morkel, who is unavailable for selection and is still recovering from a left hamstring strain.

Proteas Team Manager, Dr Mohammed Moosajee said:  “ Morne’s recovery has progressed according to schedule but we have taken the precautionary decision of making him unavailable for selection because of the sensitive nature of the injury. We don’t want to risk aggravating the injury and would rather have him back in the team at full fitness.”
