The bizhub Highveld Lions won the toss and opted to bat first in the RAM SLAM T20 Challenge final against the Nashua Titans at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on Sunday.

The hosts are playing a match for the first time in 10 days when they thrashed the Sunfoil Dolphins by 54 runs to secure automatic qualification and home advantage for the competition climax.

The visitors on the other hand are coming into the game hot on the heels of a four-wicket victory in the Eliminator or play-off against the Chevrolet Warriors.

The trans-Jukskei derby is also a repeat of last year’s final, won by the Centurion outfit, who will have coach Matthew Maynard in charge for one final time before he steps down.

Both have made changes from their last outings too with two for the bizhub Highveld Lions in the form of Temba Bavuma and Sohail Tanvir - Dwaine Pretorius and Gulam Bodi are the two unlucky men to miss out.

Star bowler Alfonso Thomas is a big miss for the Nashua Titans having had to return to England for county duty, with Marchant de Lange drafted in instead.

Teams:

bizhub Highveld Lions: Alviro Petersen (capt), Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma, Neil Mckenzie, Jean Symes, Chris Morris, Sohail Tanvir, Hardus Viljoen, Aaron Phangiso, Imran Tahir.

Nashua Titans: Henry Davids (capt), Heino Kuhn (wk), Herschelle Gibbs, AB de Villiers, Farhaan Behardien, Albie Morkel, David Wiese, Roelof van der Merwe, Morne Morkel, Eden Links, Marchant de Lange.
