The Easterns Titans Franchise recently donated a cheque of R 45 000 to Child Welfare Tshwane at the Bramley Children’s Home in Pretoria. The donation, which was handed over by CEO, Jacques Faul, is an invaluable contribution to the needs of the children in Pretoria.
The CEO of Easterns Titans, Jacques Faul said: “We feel fortunate to be in a situation where we are able to help children in need. The shortage of funds and care are felt most of all by the young and neglected and we just hope that our donation can help make a small difference in the lives of children in our city.”
The donated funds were raised at yet another very successful Charity Ball held at SuperSport Park in September last year. The Ball was organised by the Fire Fly Foundation in association with Jacaranda FM and attended by the players and their partners, corporates, representatives from Child Welfare and the general public.
The Chief Executive Officer of Child Welfare Tshwane, Linda Nell, received the cheque at the official presentation ceremony, commenting: “We are honoured and thankful for the continuous support of the Titans through their Charity Ball. These kids look up to players such as the Titans as their heroes and it is so wonderful that the team is represented here today.”
Child Welfare Tshwane’s main purpose is to protect children in all communities and to create the opportunity for them to reach their full potential. This includes providing children with easy access to food, health-care, education, recreation, and emotional support.
Bramley Children’s Home provides residential care facility to 54 children and is the beneficiary of the Titans Cricket Team.
