The Castle Lager Proteas have been sent in to bat in the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy against England at The Oval on Wednesday. The Proteas have made one enforced change from the side which tied against the West Indies in Cardiff, with Dale Steyn missing out due to tightness in his right groin. Rory Kleinveldt comes into the side for Steyn.

Proteas Team Manager, Dr Mohammed Moosajee said. “ The tightness developed during practice after the previous match against the West Indies. This has not eased sufficiently this morning, and the medical staff felt it would be too risky for today’s match.

“We didn’t want to take the gamble because we don’t have the assurance that he won’t break down during the match.”

South Africa XI: AB de Villiers (CPT/WK), Hashim Amla, Colin Ingram, Faf du Plessis, JP Duminy, David Miller, Ryan McLaren, Robin Peterson, Rory Kleinveldt, Chris Morris, Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
