Three new caps as SA U19s bat first vs India

In keeping with coach Ray Jennings’ aim to try as many combinations as possible, three players will make their international debut for the Coca-Cola South Africa under-19s in their match against the hosts in Visakhapatnam, India.

Lungisani Ngidi, Lloyd Brown and Dayyaan Galiem have cracked the nod for the team’s second match in the Youth Quadrangular series at the Port Diamond Jubilee Stadium. Skipper, Yaseen Valli has won the toss and chosen to bat first on the hottest day the side have experienced in India so far.

South Africa under-19 team:

Yaseen Valli (captain), Clyde Fortuin, Aiden Markham, Jason Smith, Lloyd Brown, Gregory Oldfield, Bradley Dial, Dayyaan Galiem, Justin Dill, Andile Phehlukwayo, Lungisani Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada (12th man).

India under-19 team:

Vijay Zol (captain), Akhil Herwadkhar, Ankush Bains, Shreyas Iyer, Deepak Hooda, Sarfaraz Khan, Abhimanyu Lamba, Kuldeep Yadav, Amir GaniI, CV Milind, Rickey Bhui.
