Proteas make two changes for 2nd Test

The Castle Lager Proteas will field first in the second Test match against Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. The Proteas have made two changes to their team; Dean Elgar comes in for Hashim Amla at No.3 and Imran Tahir replaces Robin Peterson.  

 

Dale Steyn has been cleared to play after passing a late fitness test on Wednesday morning.

 

All-rounder, Wayne Parnell has joined the squad to assist with 12th man duties in Amla’s absence. Parnell was due to fly out to the UAE in 48 hours with the remaining ODI players for the series starting next week.

 

South Africa XI: Graeme Smith (cpt), Alviro Petersen, Dean Elgar, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers (wk), JP Duminy, Faf du Plessis, Vernon Philander, Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel, Imran Tahir.
