Hendrick Kotze of Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (NMMU) George was named both Player of the Tournament and Batsman of the Week as his side finished top of Section C after day five of the University Sport South Africa B Week.

NMMU George saw their match washed out for the second day in a row on Friday, and as with Thursday, only one game at the tournament was completed.

University of Fort Hare B were victorious in that game, beating University of Zululand by four wickets in a match reduced to 34 overs per side.

After winning the toss and electing to field, University of Fort Hare B bowled their opponents out for 79, before reaching their target in just 14.5 overs.

Two matches were cancelled because of waterlogged pitches, while two more were abandoned due to rain during the second innings.

KT Malatji of University of Limpopo (Turfloop) was named Bowler of the Tournament, as his side finished top of Section D with three wins and two washouts.
