Boland beat Easterns by five wickets to get the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Girls Under-19 (U19) Week off to a good start when they met at Bergvliet High School in Cape Town on Wednesday. It was the only match that saw a result as others were delayed due to rain.

Boland bounced back in their second innings, posting a defendable 107/10, but it was Zante Steyn who starred with the ball, taking an exceptional seven wickets for 33. Easterns could not bat in kind, and they were bundled out for 24 to give Boland a well-deserved victory.
