Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced the South Africa Girls Under-19 invitation squad to play against Western Province Women at the end of the CSA Girls U19 Week.

The 12-woman squad comprises of the top performers during the tournament, lead by Momentum Proteas women’s youngest player, 17-year old, Suné Luus. It is part of the Week’s tradition for a team to be announced and pitted up against the hosting province’s side.

“It’s going to be a really good opportunity for the best of the players from our week to go up against one of the strongest provincial sides in the country,” Luus said. “After a long week of playing high intensity cricket, we hope that our team will be able to give Western Province a real run for their money.”

Western Province are the defending CSA Women’s Provincial League champions.
