Started playing at age of 15 provincially, before that in boys teams at school and in street. Made debut for SA in 2007 against Pakistan. Teacher at Parow High School. Favourite pass time is going to the beach, and braai.

Roelof van der Merwe, he give every game his all, plays with passion, aggression and heart.

What is your best cricketing moment/performance to date?

Having round about 15 000 people watching our game against Bangladesh, not cheering for us, but supporting womens cricket, was unbelievable experience.

What is the favourite cricket ground you have played on, and why?

Lords, all though we got a beating there, the tradition, respect and history of the place is unbelievable.

Want is your cricketing ambition?

Reach semi-finals with my team and move into Top 10 on bowling list, because that would mean I gave my team the best chance to progress as far as possible.
