| I started playing cricket in the streets of Bellville-south on the Cape flats. I mainly played with the neighbourhood boys and at after-care at my Primary School of Vredelust Primary. I then played in the boys U/13 team and at the end of the season won the award for Best Bowler. Once in High School I made the boys U/14 team and was sent off to girls Trials for the Provincial u/19 team and made the team as well as the Senior Western Province side. I eventually made the national side in 2003 when I was 17.I also played hockey,netbal and chess. I'm an avid reader national hockey umpire. |
