I started playing cricket in the streets of Bellville-south on the Cape flats. I mainly played with the neighbourhood boys and at after-care at my Primary School of Vredelust Primary. I then played in the boys U/13 team and at the end of the season won the award for Best Bowler. Once in High School I made the boys U/14 team and was sent off to girls Trials for the Provincial u/19 team and made the team as well as the Senior Western Province side. I eventually made the national side in 2003 when I was 17.I also played hockey,netbal and chess. I'm an avid reader national hockey umpire.

I studied Education at Stellenbosch University and Coach at Tygerberg cricket Club.

 117 off 115 in the Super 4's

 My Grandmother Helen Arendse played netbal for the apartheid Coloured team.
My Grandfather James Adams played rugby and cricket for South Africa,also in the Apartheid era,for the Coloured Team.

Shane Watson,as I can be aggressive and time the ball.

Newlands,its the most picturesque ground I've ever played on.
