| In 50 words, introduce yourself to the world
| My name is Mignon du Preez, the captain of the South African Women’s Cricket team. I am mainly a batting specialist. I started playing cricket at the young age of 4 (1993) with the Bakers Mini Cricket program and has played ever since. I made my debut for South Africa against Pakistan in 2007. I have national colors in Indoor/Action Cricket and ‘All Star colors’ for Softball. I also have provincial colors in Hockey, Thumbling and Table tennis. I recently completed my B.Comm Honours degree in Marketing. I love being active and spending time with family and friends. |

| Who is your favourite cricketer, and why? | Saschin Tendulkar – Love his presence at the crease, how he always looks calm and how he structures his innings. |
| Which international cricketer would you most liken your playing style to, and why? | Jonty Rhodes. I’m quick between the wickets and an excellent fielder. However I have a bit of an unorthodox batting style but it’s effective. |
| What is your best cricketing moment/performance to date? | -Being announced as the captain of the South African Women’s Cricket team -Making the SA team for the first time and scoring a 50 in my Debut tour against Pakistan -Winning the series in October 2010 where SA moved from 8th place to 5th place in ICC rankings -Being announced as CSA’s Women’s Cricketer of the year -Best Performance 258* in 96 balls at the age of 13 in a provincial game -224 partnership in ODI with van Lochtenberg vs. Ned -Traveling to India for a weekend to shoot an advertisement for the T20 WC |
